PALS (Parents of Addicted Loved Ones)
PAL’s weekly meetings use evidence-based practices designed specifically for parents by professionals in the treatment and recovery industry. Each session includes two important parts. An educational component that offers tools for parents to use when a son or daughter is struggling with addiction, including ways to help them in a healthy way rather than enable their addiction. The second component is support for a parent that struggles with their loved ones' addiction. It is a time for parents to interact, sharing what has worked – and not worked – for them in their community. Most importantly, the parent comes to realize that they are not alone in their struggles and there are people who care.
This group will be led by trained facilitators Dave & Cindy Gossard.
A partnership with grief experts Cornerstone of Hope:
The 10-week group is for adult survivors of overdose or suicide loss. Each week, we introduce different topics related to the grief journey and provide a safe space for participants to connect with others on the same journey. Through education, activities, group engagement, and support, participants can connect with others on the same journey. Professionally trained and experienced facilitators lead these groups and strive to cultivate a safe supportive healing environment. The group is free to Crawford, Marion, Morrow, and Delaware residents.
All are welcome, regardless of ethnic, cultural, and faith backgrounds.
This group will be led by Kim Turner and Warren Hastings.
