Devin and Crystal Devain

Our Background:

We have been foster parents in Marion County for nine years. We have had 19 long-term placements, with countless other respite and emergency placements. We have cared for children from birth to age 18 during this time. We have three biological and two adopted children, ranging in ages from 6-13. Devin is the Executive Director of the Heart of Ohio Homeless Shelter, and Crystal is an Intervention Specialist with Buckeye Community School. 

Our Purpose:

When we began our journey, we were lost, feeling alone, and wanted to throw in the towel pretty quickly. For years, we have discussed this idea of trying to help foster parents (new and experienced) but have been unsure where to begin. Finally, we found a starting point and ran with it. Our hope is that you feel like you have more knowledge, more confidence, and more people in your corner both cheering you on and ready to lend a shoulder when needed. We truly believe that by providing a safe, confidential, and supportive environment, that foster parents will feel more confident, more educated, and more relieved to hear that they are not alone and have a support team standing with them on this journey.
